Prince of Peace
Lutheran Church
OUR MINISTRIES
Members of our congregation enjoy spending time together and do so regularly, through a variety of activities outside of worship, education, and committees:
· After-service fellowship each Sunday, over coffee and cake
· Annual church picnic/Oktoberfest
· Semi-annual clean-up days to spruce up our building and grounds
· Pot-luck, spaghetti, and pancake luncheons and dinners
· Blessing of the Animals every October
What We Believe
· There is one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
· Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, God has forgiven our sins, and promises us eternal life with Him.
· This forgiveness and new life is given freely through God’s grace in response to our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. None of this is a result of our doing or accomplishments.
· We believe that the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion are means through which God’s gifts of grace and forgiveness are received.
· We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God.
· We respond to God’s love by loving others. Reaching out to serve others in the community and the world is important in our lives as Christians.
